Minnie Darke

Minnie Darke is the pen name of Danielle Wood, a versatile Australian author who has written in various genres under different names. Wood shares her body with Minnie Darke, and together they have written short story collections, novels for adults, nonfiction, and novels for children (in collaboration with Heather Rose). Darke, however, writes under her own name to create smart, contemporary stories about love of all kinds.

Her debut novel, Starcrossed, was published in over 25 international territories and tells the story of a journalist who manipulates an astrology column for her own romantic ends. Darke's second novel, The Lost Love Song, is composed in a more melancholy key and tells the story of a haunting melody that finds its way home to the heart of the person who inspired it. Her latest offering, With Love from Wish & Co, takes readers deep into the world of a professional gift-buyer, where things get complicated when Marnie Fairchild is wrapping two gifts: one for her best client's wife, and one for his lover. Darke is a lover of freshly sharpened pencils, Russian Caravan tea, and books of all kinds. She currently resides in Tasmania, where she writes and lives with her family.
