Mitch Silver is a successful American author of fiction, who has had a varied and interesting career. He was born in Brooklyn and grew up on Long Island, giving him a unique perspective that he has been able to draw upon in his writing. Silver attended Yale, where he studied history, before briefly attending Harvard Law School. However, he soon realized that law was not his calling and instead pursued a career in advertising.\n \nSilver worked for several large New York advertising agencies as an ad writer, which allowed him to hone his skills as a writer and storyteller. His experiences in the advertising world have no doubt provided him with a wealth of material to draw upon in his fiction. In addition to his work in advertising, Silver has also lived and worked in Paris, where he served as European Creative Director on the Colgate-Palmolive account.\n \nSilver and his wife, Ellen Highsmith Silver, have two grown children and live in Greenwich, Connecticut. He is the author of several novels, including "In Secret Service" and "The Bookworm," and his thriller, "The Apollo Deception," was published in the fall of 2020. In addition to his work as a novelist, Silver has also won the American Song Festival Lyric Grand Prize for "Sleeping Single in a Double Bed." Despite his many accomplishments, Silver remains humble and approachable, and is known for writing his biography in the third person.
