Mona Awad

Mona Awad is an award-winning and bestselling author known for her distinctive literary fiction. She has published several acclaimed novels, including "13 Ways of Looking at a Fat Girl," which won the Amazon Best First Novel Award and was shortlisted for the Giller Prize. Her subsequent works, "Bunny" and "All's Well," further cemented her reputation, with "Bunny" winning the Ladies of Horror Fiction Best Novel Award and being optioned for film adaptation. Her writing has appeared in prominent publications such as The New York Times, Vogue, and TIME magazine.

Awad's work often explores darkly humorous and surreal themes, blending elements of horror, fairy tales, and psychological depth. Her academic background informs her storytelling—she holds an MScR in English from the University of Edinburgh, where she studied fear in fairy tales, and a Ph.D. in Creative Writing and Literary Studies from the University of Denver.
