Patricia Abbott

Patricia Abbott, also known as Pattinase, is an American author who has made a name for herself in the crime, thriller, and mystery genres. Now in her late sixties, Abbott debuted as an author at an advanced age, but has since then produced attention-grabbing and award-winning novels. She has written more than 150 short stories and has penned several standalone novels, including the Edgar Award-nominated "Shot in Detroit."

Abbott is a prolific writer who has published more than sixty-five stories in various print and online publications. She has won numerous awards for her writing, including the Deringer Award in 2008 for her story "My Hero." In addition to her short stories, Abbott has also edited several anthologies, including "Discount Noir." She is a co-editor of the e-anthology and has had her collections of stories, "Monkey Justice and Other Stories" and "Home Invasion," published by Snubnose Press.
