Pat Stoltey is a successful author, known for her intriguing mystery novels and historical fiction. She grew up on a farm in central Illinois and has since lived in various parts of the United States and even spent time in the south of France. Some of the places she has called home include Oklahoma, Indiana, Florida, and now, Colorado. Her experiences living in these diverse locations have provided her with a wealth of inspiration for her writing.
Stoltey is the author of two Sylvia and Willie mystery novels, which feature older amateur sleuths. These novels, "The Prairie Grass Murders" and "The Desert Hedge Murders," are available as e-books for Kindle and Nook. In addition to her mystery novels, Stoltey has also written a suspense novel titled "Dead Wrong" and a historical mystery called "Wishing Caswell Dead." Her work has been well-received, with "Dead Wrong" being a finalist in the thriller category for the 2015 Colorado Book Awards and "Wishing Caswell Dead" being released by Five Star Frontier Fiction in December 2017.
In addition to her novels, Stoltey has also contributed to the anthology "The Spoilt Quilt and Other Frontier Stories: Pioneering Women of the West" with a short story called "Good Work for a Girl." She is a member of several writing organizations, including Mystery Writers of America, Rocky Mountain Mystery Writers of America, Sisters in Crime, Sisters in Crime-Colorado, Rocky Mountain Fiction Writers, and Pikes Peak Writers.
When she's not writing, Stoltey enjoys reading, watching television and movies, and spending time with her husband and their pets, Sassy Dog and Katie Cat. She is an active member of her writing community and is always looking for new ways to connect with her readers and fellow writers.
