Patti Callahan Henry is a highly acclaimed author, well-known for her appearances on the New York Times, USA Today, and Globe and Mail bestsellers lists. She has written sixteen novels, including her most recent work, 'The Secret Book of Flora Lea.' Her writing has also been translated into multiple languages, allowing her stories to reach a wide audience. Before becoming a full-time author, Patti worked as a Pediatric Clinical Nurse Specialist, a career she pursued before the birth of her first child.
In addition to her successful writing career, Patti is also the host of the original podcast content for her novels, Surviving Savannah and Becoming Mrs. Lewis. She has received numerous awards for her work, including The Christy Award for Book of the Year, the Harper Lee Distinguished Writer of the Year award, and the Alabama Library Association Book of the Year award for Becoming Mrs. Lewis. Patti is also the co-host and co-creator of the weekly online Friends and Fiction live web show and podcast, which features five bestselling authors and offers stories, special guests, and a way to connect readers and writers.
Patti is a full-time author, mother of three, and grandmother of two, currently residing in Mountain Brook, Alabama, with her husband, Pat Henry. Growing up in Philadelphia as the daughter of a Presbyterian minister, Patti learned the value of storytelling at an early age. She discovered the sanctuary of libraries during her teenage years in South Florida and began to understand the power of storytelling as a means of navigating confusing times in life. Patti received her undergraduate degree from Auburn University and her graduate degree from Georgia State University. She initially worked as a Pediatric Clinical Nurse Specialist before transitioning to a full-time writing career.
