Paul Fleischman is an acclaimed author of children's and young adult literature, known for his innovative storytelling and poetic works. He received the Newbery Medal in 1989 for "Joyful Noise: Poems for Two Voices," a distinctive collection of insect-themed poetry designed for dual narration.
