After completing his graduation from Pennsylvania State University in 1969, he became the editor-in-chief for The Daily Collegian newspaper. Later, he received his J.D. from the University of Miami in 1973.
Before becoming a full-time author, Levine worked as a newspaper reporter, law professor, and trial lawyer.
