Paula Gosling

Paula Gosling is a well-established author of fiction, particularly known for her crime novels. She has also written under the pen name of Ainslie Skinner. Gosling was born in the United States but has been living in the United Kingdom since the 1960s.

Gosling began her writing career as a copy-writer and published her first novel, A Running Duck, in 1974. This debut work was well-received and won the John Creasey Award for the best first novel of the year. Over the course of her career, Gosling has been honored with several prestigious awards, including the Gold Dagger for Monkey Puzzle in 1985. She has also served as the past Chairman of the Crime Writers' Association.

One of Gosling's most notable works, A Running Duck, has been adapted for the screen not once, but twice. The novel, which was published in 1974 (also released as Fair Game), was first adapted into the Sylvester Stallone film Cobra. It was later adapted again for a film featuring Cindy Crawford, also titled Fair Game. These adaptations have helped to increase Gosling's visibility and solidify her reputation as a skilled and talented writer in the crime fiction genre.
