Peter Brandvold

Peter Brandvold is an accomplished author of western fiction novels and short stories, with a prolific output that includes over one hundred action-packed westerns written under his own name and the pseudonym Frank Leslie. Born and raised in North Dakota, Brandvold grew up with a love for horses, western fiction, and films, which he later translated into his own writing. He attended the University of North Dakota, earning a B.A. in English, and now writes westerns for his own publishing company, Mean Pete Publishing.

Despite the perception that the western genre may be outdated, Brandvold keeps it alive with his engaging and thrilling stories. The western genre's long and colorful history in America, as well as the freedom it offers both readers and writers, continues to provide fertile ground for Brandvold's creativity. He has written under various pseudonyms, including Tabor Evans and Max O'Hara, and has published a range of series such as the .45-Caliber books featuring Cuno Massey, the Lou Prophet series, and the Yakima Henry novels. Additionally, he has published two horror westerns, Canyon of a Thousand Eyes and Dust of the Damned, through Wolfpack Press. Currently, Brandvold resides in western Minnesota with his dog, where he continues to write and publish western fiction.
