Peter McGarvey is a versatile writer whose career spans journalism, advertising, and fiction. He has authored two mystery series set in Michigan: the Molly Parsons Mysteries, which includes "Dark Sunset," "Bloody Sunset," and "Foggy Sunset," and the Rip & Wilma Hits, featuring "Hair Trigger" and "Double Tap." His stand-alone mystery, "Dark the Light," set in 1920s South Carolina, is forthcoming. McGarvey is currently developing a new series set in a small Canadian town, adding to his growing body of work.
Born in Ontario and raised in Orillia and Chatham, McGarvey has spent much of his adult life in Toronto. His professional background is equally diverse, having worked as a magazine columnist, radio journalist, advertising copywriter, and filmmaker. This multifaceted experience informs his writing, which often blends sharp dialogue with richly drawn settings. His recent release, "The Donnelly Curse," further showcases his ability to craft compelling narratives across genres.
