Peter Pezzelli is an American novelist known for his heartfelt stories set primarily in Rhode Island and Italy. His debut novel, "Home To Italy," published in 2004, earned recognition as a Book Sense "Pick" and a "First Novel of Distinction." Since then, he has authored six published works, including "The Glassblower’s Apprentice," released in 2013. His novels, translated into over a dozen languages, often explore themes of life, love, friendship, and family, resonating with readers worldwide and appearing in publications like Reader’s Digest Select Editions and Doubleday Book Club.
Born and raised in North Providence, Rhode Island, Pezzelli graduated from Wesleyan University with a degree in English. Initially pursuing a career in his family’s nursing home business, he discovered his passion for writing after receiving an electric typewriter as a gift. Following knee surgery recovery, he began crafting short stories and later honed his skills through creative writing workshops at Brown University and the Wesleyan Writers Conference. His transition to novel writing culminated in the success of "Home To Italy," launching his literary career.
