Phil Stamper

Phil Stamper is a successful author of young adult, contemporary, and LGBTQ+ literature. He was born and raised in a small, rural village near Dayton, Ohio. Growing up, he kept himself entertained by playing the piano and reading books, particularly the 40 or so Agatha Christie novels he found in his school library. His passion for reading and storytelling eventually led him to pursue a career in writing.

Stamper obtained a Bachelor's degree in Music from the University of Dayton and later earned a Master's degree in Publishing with Creative Writing from Kingston University. After graduating, he moved to Washington, D.C., where he began his career in non-profit PR, writing press releases and news stories. Although he enjoyed writing for a living, he found the work to be dry and unfulfilling. This prompted him to start working on the book he always wanted to write.

Stamper's writing is known for its queer joy and ambitious characters. His debut novel, "The Gravity of Us," was a critically acclaimed success, and he has since published several other books for kids and teens. He is currently an author developer for a major book publisher in New York City, where he lives with his husband and their dog. His upcoming releases include "Afterglow," the second book in the "Golden Boys" series, and "Small Town Pride," his debut middle grade novel. Stamper has established himself as a prominent voice in LGBTQ+ literature and continues to inspire and entertain readers with his stories.
