Phillip Strang is a successful Australian crime, thriller, and fiction author who was born in England during the post-war baby boom. He was raised in a small town a few hours outside of London in a comfortable middle-class family. Strang's childhood was filled with innocence, and he had complete mobility, riding his three-speed Raleigh bike around his community. His formative years were before wanton violence, mobile phones, terrorism, and the internet, providing him with a unique perspective that he would later incorporate into his writing.
Despite being an avid reader since childhood, Strang never considered pursuing a career in the creative arts. Instead, he graduated with an electronics engineering degree and later attained an MBA from the Macquarie Graduate School of Management in 1999. After graduation, he developed wanderlust and left England to travel the world. Strang spent years moving around Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and ultimately settled in Sydney, Australia, where he currently resides. He has been writing bestselling novels for several years, publishing his debut novel "Murder is a Tricky Business" in 2016.
Strang is also a well-traveled writer who has spent considerable time in many remote and exotic parts of the World, installing telecommunication networks. His experiences in these countries, including Afghanistan, Pakistan, Liberia, Nigeria, and Guinea, have given him a deep insight into the culture of these countries and an understanding of the problems they face. Strang's writing is informed by his extensive travels and experiences, providing his readers with a unique perspective on the world. He is married and continues to write from his home in Australia.
