Pierre Jarawan

Pierre Jarawan was born in 1985 in Amman, Jordan, to a Lebanese father and a German mother, who had fled the Lebanese Civil War. At the age of three, he moved with his family to Germany. His literary career gained momentum in 2012 when he became the International German-Language Poetry Slam Champion. His debut novel, "Am Ende bleiben die Zedern" (2016), received critical acclaim and multiple awards, emerging as an international bestseller translated into numerous languages.
