Piers Anthony

Piers Anthony is a highly accomplished author, known for his works in the science fiction and fantasy genres. Born as Piers Anthony Dillingham Jacob on August 6, 1934, in Oxford, England, he spent his early years in England before moving to Spain and eventually immigrating to the United States at the age of six. After completing his education, he pursued a variety of professions for fifteen years before turning to writing fiction full-time.

Anthony is perhaps best known for his successful series, Xanth, which is set in a fictional realm. His writings have been widely recognized and several of his novels have made it to the New York Times Bestseller list. In addition to this, he has achieved a unique distinction of writing books with titles that span the entire English alphabet, from Anthology to Zombie Lover.

Piers Anthony is a prolific author who has written numerous series, including Xanth, Cluster, Apprentice Adept, and Incarnations of Immortality. Before becoming a full-time writer, he served in the U.S. Army, edited the battalion's newspaper, and worked as a public school teacher.
