Pim Wangtechawat is a Thai-Chinese author from Bangkok, Thailand, whose debut novel, "The Moon Represents My Heart," was published by OneWorld Publications in 2023. The book's television rights were acquired by 21 Laps and Netflix in a competitive auction, with actress Gemma Chan attached to star and produce. Wangtechawat's short stories, poems, and articles have appeared in publications such as the Mekong Review, the Nikkei Asian Review, Den of Geek, and YesPoetry.
A graduate of King’s College London with a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature, Wangtechawat also holds a Master’s in Creative Writing with Distinction from Edinburgh Napier University. She has performed her poetry at events in Edinburgh hosted by Shoreline of Infinity and the Scottish BAME Writers Network. Passionate about empowering Thai youth, she has conducted workshops at institutions like Chulalongkorn University and Ruamrudee International School.
Wangtechawat’s work emphasizes shared humanity and elevating Asian narratives in literature. She is currently writing her second novel and is represented by Liza DeBlock of Mushens Entertainment.
