Piper Maitland is a celebrated American author, recognized for her contribution to the genres of paranormal, urban fantasy, mystery, and horror. She is best known for her "Acquainted With the Night" series, also referred to as "The Night series." The series began in 2011 with the release of "Acquainted With the Night," followed by "Hunting Daylight" in 2013.
Maitland's writing career extends beyond her original name, as she also publishes works under the pseudonym Michael Lee West. Under this pen name, she has written six standalone novels and a mystery book series titled "Teeny Templeton Mystery series."
