Priscilla Masters

Priscilla Masters is a renowned English author, known for her crime fiction and mystery novels. Born in Halifax, Yorkshire, UK, on January 1, 1952, she was brought up in South Wales as one of seven multi-racial children adopted by an orthopaedic consultant and his classics graduate wife. After her upbringing, she trained as a nurse at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham, England, eventually retiring in 2014 from her post as a respiratory specialist nurse at the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital. Today, she lives in a Victorian country cottage on the Staffordshire/Shropshire border with her general practitioner husband and their two sons and two grandsons.

Masters began her writing career in 1987, publishing her first work, "Mr. Bateman's Garden," a children's book set in Biddulph Grange Gardens, which belongs to the National Trust. Following this, she went on to create Inspector Joanna Piercy and has since written a number of medical mysteries. In addition to her Joanna Piercy series, Masters has penned several standalone novels, some with medical and antiques themes, as well as numerous articles and novellas. Some of her notable works include "The Early DI Joanna Piercy Titles," which are available as ebooks and paperbacks, and have been climbing up the Amazon rankings.
