Rachel Amphlett is a British author, best known for her crime thriller and spy fiction novels. Prior to becoming a novelist, Amphlett had a variety of careers including playing guitar in bands, working as a TV and film extra, and a little experience in radio as a presenter and freelance producer for the BBC. She has also worked in publishing as an editorial assistant. After living in Brisbane, Australia for 13 years, Amphlett has now returned to the UK. She is a member of International Thriller Writers and the Crime Writers Association.
Amphlett has found success with her debut novel, White Gold, which was sold to Fanucci Editore’s TIMECrime imprint in Italy, and the first four books in the Dan Taylor espionage series have been contracted to Germany’s Luzifer Verlag. She is best known for her Dan Taylor thriller series, as well as the Detective Kay Hunter series, and her novels have been translated into several languages and have gained popularity across much of the Western world. Amphlett’s biggest inspirations growing up were Robert Ludlum, Lee Child, Ken Follett, and Michael Connelly among several other crime and detective fiction authors.
Amphlett is a USA Today bestselling crime author with over 30 novels and short stories featuring spies, detectives, vigilantes, and assassins.
