Rachel Hawkins

Rachel Hawkins is an accomplished American author, best known for her young adult paranormal romance novels. She has written two popular series, Hex Hall and Rebel Belle. Hawkins was born in Virginia, but currently resides in Dothan, Alabama with her husband and child.

Before becoming a full-time writer, Hawkins worked as a high school English teacher for three years. She then made the bold decision to leave teaching and focus her attention on her writing. Hawkins is a graduate of Auburn University, a public research university located in Alabama.

As a former teacher, Hawkins has a deep understanding of young adults and their interests, which is evident in her engaging and relatable characters. Her writing is witty, humorous, and full of suspense, making her books difficult to put down. With her captivating storytelling and unique voice, Hawkins has established herself as a prominent figure in the young adult literature genre.

Currently, Hawkins is working on the third book in the Hex Hall series. Although she is not a witch herself, some of her former students may disagree. Her website, while no longer active, was a great resource for readers to learn more about her and her books.
