Raymond L. Weil

Raymond L. Weil is a bestselling author, known for his works in the fantasy and science fiction genres. Born in Clinton, Oklahoma, Weil developed a love for reading at a young age, eventually amassing a collection of over two thousand novels in his preferred genres. His fascination with the space program and a vivid imagination led him to pursue a career in writing, rather than becoming an astronaut as he had once considered. Weil's friends and colleagues can attest to his creative prowess and sometimes unpredictable nature.

Weil attended SWOSU in Weatherford, Oklahoma, where he graduated with a bachelor's degree in History and a minor in Creative Writing, as well as a major in Math. In addition to his love for reading, Weil enjoyed various hobbies such as watching soccer, camping, and spending time with his grandchildren. His passion for soccer led him to coach both high school and youth teams for many years.

With a prolific writing career spanning over forty novels, Weil has become a prominent figure in the science fiction and fantasy community. His works include the popular series "Dragon Dreams," "Forgotten Empire," "Star One," "Earth Fall," "Moon Wreck," "Lost Fleet: Originator Wars," "Slaver Wars," "Star Cross," and "Lost Fleet." Weil's captivating storytelling has garnered him a large and dedicated fanbase, resulting in over 1.3 million copies sold and a USA Today Best Selling Author title.

Weil lived in Clinton, Oklahoma with his wife of 40 years and their cat. He was a dedicated family man, finding joy in playing with his grandchildren. Sadly, Weil passed away unexpectedly in October 2020. In his honor, his daughter, Julie Weil Thomas, has taken over the continuation of his series.
