Rebecca Forster is a prolific American author, known for her legal thrillers, contemporary romance, romantic suspense, and women's fiction novels. She is perhaps best recognized for her Josie Bates/Witness series. Forster has an intriguing backstory, as she never had any aspirations to become a writer until she was dared to write a novel by her friends. Lucky for her, her first attempt at writing a book was successful, and she has been writing ever since.
Forster's writing career took off in 1989 with the publication of her debut romance novel, "A Delicate Matter". She draws inspiration from notable authors such as Daphne du Maurier, Scott Turrow, and Stephen King, as well as her own mother. Before becoming a writer, Forster worked in marketing for a high-end spa and did business in China. She is married to a superior court judge and is a mother of two grown sons.
Aside from her love of writing, Forster has a variety of interests, including cooking, quilting, watching movies, theater, and reading. She is a member of the DEA and ATF Citizens Academies and is committed to hands-on research. She has even participated in police ride-alongs, court watching, weapons training, and landed on an aircraft carrier to ensure that her writing is as authentic as possible. Forster's dedication to her craft is evident in her writing, which is known for its keen ear for dialogue, three-dimensional characters, eye for detail, twisted plots, and unexpected endings.
