Richard Ellis Preston Jr.

Richard Ellis Preston, Jr. is a fiction writer who was born in Los Angeles, but spent a significant portion of his childhood in Ontario, Canada. He has a deep connection to both countries, but has a particular affinity for Britain. Preston studied English with a minor in Anthropology at the University of Waterloo, and later earned a Radio and Television Broadcasting degree with Honors and Distinction from Algonquin College in Ottawa.

Preston has a diverse background in the media industry, having worked as an ENG cameraman for CBC Canada and attending the York University film program on a talent scholarship. He later relocated to California where he wrote screenplays for film and television, including programs aired on HBO, USA, Animal Planet, and Fox Kids. In addition to his work in television and film, Preston is also an accomplished author, with his "Chronicles of the Pneumatic Zeppelin" steampunk series being published by 47North.

Currently, Preston is working on his WW2 historical fiction trilogy "The White Rose of Stalingrad" and continuing his steampunk adventure series "The Chronicles of the Pneumatic Zeppelin" on Patreon. He also writes under the pen name R.E. Preston for his new youth adventure "The League of the Sphinx" series, with the first book "The Purple Scarab" now available on Amazon. Preston is also pursuing a History M.A. at CSUN.
