Richard Phillips is a bestselling American author, best known for his science fiction novels. He writes the Rho Agenda series, which has sold over a million copies. Phillips was born in Roswell, New Mexico, and his writing is influenced by the town's UFO and alien conspiracy theories, particularly those surrounding the nearby Area 51 research facility.
Phillips has a strong background in physics, which he acquired through his education and research work. He is a graduate of West Point and holds a Master of Science degree in Physics from the Naval Post Graduate School. His research work includes a stint at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory and Los Alamos National Laboratories for the U.S. military. Before becoming a full-time author, Phillips worked as a software project leader at General Electric, Lockheed Martin Space Operations, and General Dynamics.
In addition to the Rho Agenda series, Phillips is also the author of the Jack 'The Ripper' Gregory series and the epic fantasy series, The Endarian Prophecy. He is a retired Army Officer and a West Point graduate, having served for several years as an officer in the United States Army. He currently resides in Phoenix with his wife, Carol, where he continues to write and expand his literary universe.
