Rivers Solomon

Rivers Solomon is a highly acclaimed author who writes about life in the margins, a subject that they are deeply familiar with. Growing up as a cyborg wannabe and a refugee of the Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade, Solomon has always felt at home in the margins of society. They were born on a small isle off the coast of the Eurasian continent and have since lived a life that has taken them to various parts of the world.

Solomon's work has been widely recognized for its quality and importance. Their writing has appeared in numerous prestigious publications, including the New York Times, Guernica Magazine, Black Warrior Review, the Rumpus, Emrys Journal, and Best American Short Stories. In addition to winning a Firecracker Award, Solomon's debut novel, An Unkindness of Ghosts, was named a best book of the year by several organizations, including the Guardian, NPR, Chicago Public Library, Library Journal, and Publishers Weekly. The novel was also a Stonewall Honor Book and was nominated for a Lambda, Locus, and Hurston/Wright Award.

Solomon has a strong educational background, having graduated from Stanford University with a BA and the Michener Center for Writers with an MFA. Despite their impressive credentials, Solomon remains humble and committed to their craft. They are currently based in Cambridge, England, where they are working on their second novel. Solomon has also been shortlisted for the John C. Campbell Award for New Writers, further cementing their status as a rising star in the literary world.
