Rob Hart is an accomplished American author, best known for his thriller, mystery, literature & fiction, and suspense novels. He has written a number of successful novels, including the Ash McKenna series, which includes titles such as 'New Yorked', 'South Village', and 'City of Rose'. Hart's debut novel, 'New Yorked', was particularly well-received and was even nominated for the prestigious Anthony Award in the category of the Best First Novel.
In addition to his work as an author, Hart is also a class director at the LitReactor and a publisher at the Mysterious Press. Prior to his career as a writer, Hart worked as a political reporter, a communications director for a politician, and a commissioner for the city of New York. This experience in politics has likely informed much of his writing, particularly in the Ash McKenna series.
Hart's novel 'The Warehouse' was a major breakout hit for the author. The book was named one of the best books of the year by numerous publications and has been adapted in more than twenty languages. It has also been optioned for film by Ron Howard. Hart has also written a number of successful short stories, including "Due on Batuu," which appeared in FROM A CERTAIN POINT OF VIEW: THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK, and "Take-Out," which appeared in BEST AMERICAN MYSTERY STORIES 2018. His most recent novel is "THE PARADOX HOTEL", which is set to be released by Ballantine. Hart currently lives in New York City.
