Robert Bailey

Robert Bailey is a bestselling and award-winning American author, best known for his McMurtrie and Drake Legal Thrillers series. The series, which includes "The Final Reckoning," "The Last Trial," "Between Black and White," and "The Professor," has been highly acclaimed, with the first two novels winning the Beverly Hills Book Awards for legal thriller of the year and "Between Black and White" being a finalist for the Foreword INDIES Book of the Year.

Bailey was born in Huntsville, Alabama, and grew up with a love for stories, particularly those about Coach Paul "Bear" Bryant and the Alabama Crimson Tide football team. He obtained a Bachelor of Arts in History from Davidson College in North Carolina and then went on to attend the University of Alabama Law School, where he made Law Review, competed on the school's trial team, and managed to watch every home football game. After graduation, Bailey worked as a civil defense attorney in his hometown of Huntsville for thirteen years.

In addition to his McMurtrie and Drake Legal Thrillers series, Bailey has also written the Bocephus Haynes’ series, which debuted with "Legacy of Lies," and the inspirational novel, "The Golfer’s Carol." He is married and has three children. When he is not writing, Bailey enjoys practicing law, watching Alabama football, playing golf, and coaching his two sons’ little league baseball teams.
