Robert Hillman

Robert Hillman is a Melbourne-based writer known for his works in fiction and biography. His acclaimed autobiography, "The Boy in the Green Suit," won the Australian National Biography Award in 2005, establishing his reputation as a compelling storyteller. Hillman further demonstrated his narrative skill with "My Life as a Traitor," co-authored with Zarha Ghahramani, which was shortlisted for the Prime Minister’s Literary Award for Non-Fiction in 2008 and gained international recognition.

Before dedicating himself to writing full-time, Hillman spent many years teaching at both high school and university levels. His works often explore themes of identity, resilience, and personal history, reflecting his deep engagement with human experiences.
