Rod Reynolds

Rod Reynolds is a successful author of crime fiction novels, born in London, United Kingdom. Prior to his career as a novelist, Rod worked in advertising and as a media buyer. His passion for writing led him to attend City University, where he completed a two-year Crime Writing Masters course. Rod currently resides in London with his wife and daughter.

Reynolds is well known for his mystery, thriller, and historical fiction novels. He has written a total of five novels, including the Charlie Yates series and the standalone books Blood Red City and Black Reed Bay. His 2015 debut, The Dark Inside, was longlisted for the CWA New Blood Dagger. The Guardian has praised his work as "pitch-perfect American noir." Rod's writing is heavily influenced by his background in advertising and his love for noir fiction.

Reynolds' first book, The Dark Inside, is loosely based on a real-life serial killer case, known as the Texarkana Moonlight Murders. The success of his debut novel motivated him to continue writing and he has since released several more books. Rod's wife and two daughters keep him busy when he's not writing. He currently spends most of his time trying to keep up with his active family.
