Award-winning author Rosie Hendry currently resides in Norfolk, a coastal town in England, with her husband and two children. Born with a love for reading and writing, Hendry's career began as a teacher and research scientist before she turned to writing full-time. She began by contributing short stories to various magazines, gradually expanding her repertoire to longer works as her children grew older.
Hendry's writing is largely inspired by her father's personal accounts of life during the Second World War. Her debut series, the East End Angels, follows the lives and loves of Winnie, Frankie, and Bella, who all work for the London Auxiliary Ambulance Service (LAAS) during the Blitz. Hendry's interest in this period extends beyond her personal connections, as she is particularly fascinated by the transformative effects of the war on women's lives. To ensure historical accuracy and richness, Hendry immerses herself in research, uncovering real-life events that inform and enrich her narrative.
In addition to her love for writing, Hendry enjoys spending her free time walking along the beach, reading, and cooking. She is grateful that her husband is a skilled cook, as she openly admits that her own culinary skills are not as refined.
