Ross Barkan is an author and journalist known for his political commentary and fiction. He is the author of "Demolition Night," a novel, and "The Prince: Andrew Cuomo, Coronavirus, and the Fall of New York," which examines the political dynamics of New York during the pandemic. His next novel, "The Night Burns Bright," is slated for publication in 2022.
An award-winning journalist, Barkan has contributed to prominent publications such as the New York Times, the Washington Post, the Atlantic, and the New Yorker. His work has earned him recognition, including the New York Press Club’s award for distinguished newspaper commentary in 2017 and 2019. In addition to writing, he teaches journalism at NYU and St. Joseph’s College and previously ran the newsletter "Political Currents," focusing on New York and national affairs.
