Ross Montgomery is a well-established author, known for his works in fiction and children’s literature. Growing up, he developed a love for reading, which he attributes to teaching him many valuable lessons. Prior to becoming a writer, Montgomery held a variety of jobs, including those of a postman, pig farmer, and primary school teacher.
Montgomery's childhood was marked by an insatiable appetite for reading, which saw him devouring everything from Jacqueline Wilson to Beano annuals. This early exposure to a wide range of literary works provided him with a solid foundation and ignited his passion for storytelling. His experiences as a postman, pig farmer, and teacher further enriched his understanding of the world, which he translates into his writing.
In addition to "The Midnight Guardians" and "Perijee and Me," Montgomery has written over twenty books for children. His work has been well-received, with "The Midnight Guardians" being shortlisted for the Costa Book Award 2021 and selected as one of The Guardian’s Children’s Books of the Year.
