Rowan Coleman is a successful author who has written literary fiction, young adult, romance, and children's fiction under her own name, as well as mysteries under the name Bella Ellis. She was born and raised in Berkhamsted in the 1970s, and currently resides in Hertfordshire with her husband and children. Despite being dyslexic, Coleman has won several awards for her writing, including the Richard and Judy Bookclub selection and for her eleventh novel "The Memory Book." She has been compared to Nora Ephron and Jo Jo Moyes, and has written popular series such as the "Ruby Parker" series and the "Sophie Mills" series.
In addition to her writing, Coleman is a dedicated mother of five children, including a set of toddler twins. She strives to balance her family life with her writing career, finding joy in simple pleasures such as sleeping, watching films, and attempting to learn how to bake when she gets the chance. Coleman has a playful spirit and would love to live every day as if she were starring in a musical, although her daughter no longer allows her to sing in public. She is a strong supporter of the domestic abuse charity Refuge, and has donated 100% of royalties from the ebook publication of her novella "Woman Walks Into a Bar" to the organization.
