Roxanne St. Claire, also known as Rocki, is a New York Times and USA Today bestselling author of more than 50 romance, suspense, and contemporary novels. She has received numerous accolades for her work, including the prestigious RITA Award from the Romance Writers of America (RWA) and the National Readers' Choice Award for best romantic suspense. Her novels have been translated into over a dozen foreign languages and one has been adapted into a movie.
Roxanne grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and developed a love for words and stories at a young age. She attended UCLA and graduated with a degree in communications. After trying her hand at acting and television broadcasting, she eventually found her way into the world of public relations, where she climbed the corporate ladder to become a Senior Vice President at a public relations firm. It was during this time that she met her husband, who she married in an elevator two years after they first met.
After reading a particularly impactful romance novel, Roxanne decided she wanted to become a romance writer herself. She wrote her first novel while working a full-time job and raising a family. After getting the attention of a literary agent, she sold her manuscript to Simon & Schuster's Pocket Books and released her debut novel, Tropical Getaway, in 2003. Since then, she has written nearly fifty novels and is known for her popular series, including The Dogfather, Barefoot Bay, the Guardian Angelinos, and the Bullet Catchers.
Roxanne is a ten-time nominee and one-time winner of the RITA Award, as well as a four-time winner of the National Readers' Choice Award for best romantic suspense. She has also won several other prestigious awards, including the Holt Medallion, Book Buyers Best, Daphne Du Maurier, Maggie Award, Award of Excellence, and Booksellers Best. She currently resides in Florida with her husband and two dogs, where she spends her time writing, working with the kids at her church, and enjoying her husband's gourmet cooking. She hopes to write at least a hundred books in her lifetime.
