Ruth Reid

Ruth Reid is a best-selling author, who has gained recognition from the ECPA and CBA for her work. She has a successful career as a full-time pharmacist, but her true passion lies in writing. Reid is most well-known for her Heaven on Earth series, which has captivated audiences and gained her a devoted following.

Ruth Reid's fascination with the Amish began while she was in college. She attended Ferris State University School of Pharmacy in Big Rapids, Michigan, and during that time, she lived near an Amish community. This proximity to the Amish piqued her interest, and she began to visit the Amish farms. As she learned more about their way of life, she grew to appreciate the simplicity and beauty of it.

Reid's debut novel, The Promise of an Angel, was inspired by her curiosity about the Amish and their barn raisings. The novel was well-received, and Reid has since written several more books exploring Amish culture and traditions. She currently resides in Florida with her husband and three children, where she continues to write and work as a pharmacist. Despite her busy schedule, Reid remains committed to her writing and to sharing her love of the Amish with her readers.
