Zach Dodson is the author of the illuminated novel "Bats of the Republic" (Doubleday, 2015), a work that blends narrative with visual artistry. He co-founded featherproof books in 2005, a Chicago-based small press known for its innovative hybrid publications, where he served as publisher and book designer. His creative pursuits extend beyond traditional publishing, as evidenced by his involvement in experimental projects through his studio, Interactive Tragedy, Limited.
Dodson's multidisciplinary approach merges literature, design, and interactive media. He co-founded the Visual Narrative Lab at Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand, further exploring the intersection of storytelling and visual art. His recent projects include the game "Sub-Verge" and its companion novella, "Subtle Mind," as well as ongoing work on "KUU." A graduate of The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Dodson currently resides in Helsinki, continuing to push the boundaries of narrative forms.
