Zanib Mian

Zanib Mian is a British author known for her engaging children's literature, spanning picture books and middle-grade fiction. Her acclaimed series "Planet Omar," originally published as "The Muslims," earned widespread recognition, including the Little Rebels Award in 2018. The book was also shortlisted for the UKLA Award and nominated for the CILIP Carnegie Medal. Mian has published numerous picture books with Sweet Apple Publishers, though "Planet Omar" marked her debut in writing for older readers.

Born and raised in London, Mian developed a passion for storytelling and poetry from a young age, often crafting rhymes about meaningful experiences. Before pursuing writing full-time, she worked as a science teacher after completing university.
