Zoë Ferraris

Zoe Ferraris is a renowned author, born in Oklahoma in 1970. After the first Gulf War, she moved to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, where she became part of a conservative Muslim community, which was home to her then-husband's family, who were Saudi-Palestinians. Ferraris' experience of living in Saudi Arabia had a profound impact on her and served as the inspiration for her writing.

Ferraris' debut novel, Finding Nouf, was published in 2006 by Houghton Mifflin Harcourt. The book was a national and international bestseller, winning the LA Times Book Award for First Fiction, a B&N Discover pick, and an ALE Alex Award winner. Finding Nouf was also translated and published in 45 countries, showcasing its global appeal. The success of her debut novel established Ferraris as a talented and insightful writer, capable of shedding light on the complexities of life in Saudi Arabia.

After the success of Finding Nouf, Ferraris went on to publish two more novels, City of Veils and Kingdom of Strangers, both of which were published by Little, Brown.
