Aaron Starmer

Aaron Starmer is an American author, well-known for his young adult novels and travel writing. He was born in California in 1976 and raised outside of Syracuse, New York. Starmer received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Drew University in Madison, New Jersey, and later went on to earn a Master of Arts degree from New York University.

Prior to his success as a young adult fiction writer, Starmer had attempted to become a playwright, but his initial efforts were unsuccessful. After spending two years writing a book that was rejected by agents, he decided to shift his focus to writing for a younger audience. This change in direction proved to be a turning point in his career, as his work began to gain recognition and acclaim.

Starmer's debut novel, DWEEB, was a result of this newfound focus and was warmly received by readers. The book's success helped establish Starmer as a talented writer and solidified his place in the literary world.
