Brenda Janowitz is an accomplished American author, best known for her work in the genres of chick-lit, contemporary romance, and women's fiction. She has written a total of eight novels, including the Brooke Miller series, which consists of four books with Scot On The Rocks being the debut novel in 2007. Janowitz's writing has been featured in numerous renowned publications such as The Washington Post, USA Today, Writer's Digest Magazine, The Forward, Salon, Bustle, Publisher's Weekly, Xojane, Hello Giggles, Redbook, and The NY Times.
Raised in New York, Janowitz discovered her passion for dramatic arts at a young age, having played the lead role in a play during her third grade. This early interest in drama would eventually translate into her career as a novelist, as she is particularly famous for her ability to weave compelling narratives that capture the hearts of her readers. Janowitz's novels have been recognized by various media outlets, including CBS New York Book Club with Mary Calvi, who selected her novel THE AUDREY HEPBURN ESTATE as the Reader’s Choice.
In addition to her success as a novelist, Janowitz has also worked as a Books Correspondent for PopSugar. She holds a Bachelor's degree from Cornell University and a law degree from Hofstra Law School, where she was a member of the Law Review. After graduation, she worked for the law firm Kaye Scholer, LLP, and completed a federal clerkship with the Honorable Marilyn Dolan Go, United States Magistrate Judge for the Eastern District of New York.
