D.J. Butler, also known as Dave Butler, is a successful American author of science fiction, fantasy, and adventure novels. Hailing from the Rocky Mountain west, Butler has a diverse background that includes working as a legal expert for a major multinational semiconductor manufacturer and as a securities lawyer before becoming a private practice attorney. In addition to his legal career, Butler is a corporate trainer, consultant, and teacher of business acumen for some of the top companies in the United States.
Butler is not only a novelist but also a lover of languages, guitar player, and voracious reader. He has been authoring works of fiction since 2010, with his novels covering a wide range of genres, including horror, dystopian fiction, alternate history, superhero, cyberpunk, steampunk, space opera, science fiction, and fantasy.
