As a child, Buckley had a vivid imagination and enjoyed creating imaginary friends and going on wild adventures. Her father would often regale neighbors with tales of her imaginary friends, much to the embarrassment of her mother and the amusement of her sister. These childhood experiences would later serve as inspiration for her writing.
After setting aside her writing aspirations to raise a family and manage a business, Buckley returned to her passion for storytelling in her middle age. Drawing from her own experiences and imagination, she created the character of Lexi O'Malley, a heroine who embarks on thrilling adventures, filled with mystery, light romance, and humor.
Buckley is currently working on her next Lexi O'Malley adventure, Carrefour, where readers can expect to see Lexi continue to navigate through exciting and humorous situations.
