Debbie Babitt

Debbie Babitt is a distinguished American author, best known for her thriller novels. Born to a former federal judge, Babitt has always been surrounded by the legal world, which is often reflected in her writing. Prior to becoming a novelist, she worked as an actress, playwright, drama critic, and Copy Director for two major publishing companies in Manhattan. Her work has been featured in various publications, including CrimeReads, Suspense magazine, Mystery & Suspense magazine, and the New York Law Journal.

Babitt is highly active in the writing community and is a member of the Sisters in Crime and the International Thriller Writers. She gained significant recognition for her debut novel, "Saving Grace," which was named one of the most anticipated thrillers of 2021 by She Reads and voted a best debut of 2021 by Suspense magazine. Her success continued with her second novel, "First Victim," being named a Buzz Book of 2022.

In addition to her novels, Babitt has also written a nonfiction work titled "Adventures in Copywriting," which is considered an excellent guide to catching a literary agent's eye. She is also known for her interactive engagement with her fans on social media platforms such as Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook.

Babitt, who is married to a criminal defense attorney, spends her time between New York and Florida. When she is not writing or engaging with her fans on social media, she can be found plotting her next psychological suspense or taking a walk on the beach. Her third novel, "The Man on the Train," a Hitchcockian thriller set in New York City and the Hamptons, is set to be published in May 2024.
