Eileen Goudge is a successful American author, well-known for her young adult, romance, mystery, and women's fiction novels. She has written numerous series, including "Seniors," "Carson Springs," "Garden of Lies," and "Sweet Valley High" for teens, as well as stand-alone works for readers of all ages. Goudge's life experiences have significantly influenced her writing, as she weaves her personal trials and tribulations, such as multiple marriages, divorces, single motherhood, and near-kidnapping, into her fiction.
Born in San Mateo, California, Goudge currently resides in New York with her husband, a film critic whom she met through a serendipitous encounter on his radio talk show. After talking for three hours on their first phone call, they began a nightly ritual of conversing, eventually leading to a face-to-face meeting and falling in love. They have been married since 1996. Goudge's fascination with the mystery genre began in her youth when she discovered James M. Cain's "Mildred Pierce," inspiring her to create her own mystery series, "Cypress Bay." Her debut mystery novel, "Bones and Roses," was released in 2012, followed by "Swimsuit Body" in 2013. Goudge remains dedicated to her craft, continuing to develop new and intriguing stories for her readers.
