Eliza Crewe

Eliza Crewe is a successful indie-published American author, best known for her young adult (YA) novels, with the Soul Eater series being her most popular work. Crewe has always been an avid reader, and her love for books eventually led her to abandon her original career plan of becoming a lawyer in favor of pursuing a path in the literary world.

After completing law school, Crewe decided to become a librarian, which allowed her to be surrounded by books every day. It wasn't until the spring of 2011, however, that she seriously committed to writing an entire novel. During this time, she and her husband had just bought a new house, which came with a half-hour commute. To keep her mind occupied during her drives, Crewe began to write, and her first novel, Cracked, was the result.

Crewe has a unique writing style and is not afraid to tackle dark and unusual topics. Her ability to create compelling characters and engaging storylines has earned her a loyal following among YA readers. In addition to writing, Crewe enjoys completing craft projects, free-ranging her hens, and taking long walks. She currently resides in North Carolina with her husband, hens, and a variety of stuffed animals, including a dwarf giraffe and a pantomiming bear.
