Elizabeth Perona is the joint pseudonym of Tony Perona and his daughter Liz Dombrosky. Tony is an experienced author, having written the Nick Bertetto mystery series and several standalone novels. He is also a co-editor and contributor to various anthologies. In addition to his writing, Tony is a member of Mystery Writers of America and Sisters-in-Crime, and has served on the organization's Board of Directors and as Treasurer. Prior to his retirement, he worked as a Deputy Town Manager.
Liz Dombrosky graduated from Ball State University with a degree in teaching. She is a stay-at-home mom and works part-time as an administrator at her church. Together, she and her father write the Bucket List Mysteries series under the pen name Elizabeth Perona. The series follows the adventures of a group of friends who set out to complete their bucket lists while solving mysteries along the way. The first book in the series, Murder on the Bucket List, was released in 2017 and there are now four books in the series. Liz and Tony are both members of Mystery Writers of America and Sisters in Crime.
In addition to the Bucket List Mysteries, Liz and Tony have also written several short stories featuring the series' characters for various anthologies. One of their short stories, "The Ear Witness," was selected as an Honor Roll selection for the Best Mystery Stories of the Year, 2021, edited by bestselling author Lee Child.
Tony's writing career spans over a decade and he has established himself as a successful author in the mystery genre. He is well-known for his Nick Bertetto series and his standalone thriller, The Final Mayan Prophecy. Liz, on the other hand, is a relatively new author but has already made a name for herself with her cozy mystery series. The father-daughter duo's writing style complements each other, making their books an enjoyable read. They are active members of the writing community, participating in various organizations and events.
