Emily Gould is a accomplished author of fiction, journalist, and the co-founder of a feminist publishing startup, Emily Books. She was born on October 13, 1981, in Silver Spring, Maryland, and went on to attend Kenyon College for two years before completing her B.A. at Eugene Lang College (The New School for Liberal Arts) in New York City. Gould has lived in New York City since 2001, first in the East Village, then in Greenpoint, and now in Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn.
