James Chandler

James Chandler is a Wall Street Journal bestselling author who spent his formative years in the western United States. Chandler was an athletic individual who enjoyed catching footballs and fish, as well as roaming centerfield and attempting to hit the breaking pitch. After a mediocre college baseball career, Chandler decided to join the United States Army, where he served with great pride for twenty years, eventually retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel of Air Defense Artillery.

After retiring from the Army, Chandler earned a Bachelor's degree from Eastern Oregon University and a Master's degree from Marshall University. He then attended night school at the George Mason University School of Law while assigned to the Pentagon, eventually becoming a lawyer in Wyoming for twelve years before being appointed to the bench. In his free time, Chandler enjoys outdoor activities such as fishing and hunting. He and his wife are proud parents of two adult daughters and one grandson. Chandler is also a recipient of the Western Horizon Award.
