Janine Marsh is a British writer who has found her home in the middle of rural France. After falling in love with a run-down barn during a booze cruise to Calais in 2004, she made the life-changing decision to leave her office job in London and move to France. She now lives with her husband and a menagerie of animals, including dogs, cats, geese, ducks, and chickens, on a run-down farmhouse in the middle of nowhere.
Marsh is known for her blog, The Good Life France, which she started as a way to keep friends and family updated on her new life in France. The blog quickly gained popularity, and Marsh began writing for magazines and newspapers, covering off-the-beaten-path places, meeting interesting people, and learning about the food, wine, language, history, traditions, and quirks of her adopted country.
Marsh has a passion for growing her own fruit and vegetables and is a self-proclaimed "sucker for animals," taking in stray cats and dogs, chickens, geese, and ducks. She is a Francophile with a foot in the UK and a foot in France, and when she's not writing or taking care of her animals, she can be found traveling around France, discovering new places, and meeting new people.
